This software is a proprietary software developed and released by Planning and Mapping

By using this android application, you are agreeing to the following
Location permission
The following is a description of how your location information is used
1) The GPS position of the device is used for geotagging images
2) Each time you click to save an object either locally or on PaM, your GPS location is also saved with the object.
3) Your GPS location is used each time you choose to use any of the following features. These features do not save your position
a) Location services
b) Weather services
c) Tracking functionality
By using our application, you agree that PaMGIS app can access your location and not transmit it or use it without your action to either share, save locally or save on PaM system.

Location services in the background
With the app set to track the user's movements, we anticipate the user would want for this to be run in the background thus allowing s/he an option to use other apps. Given that this feature captures the user's GPS location, implies that it is required for the GPS location to be enabled while the app is running in the background mode.

Email address and Name
The app requires your email address so that if you choose to save a created data locally or on in PaM system, there is an identification of who created the object. In addition your email address is also used to fetch information for you from
a) Weather API
b) Openstreetmap
c) Terrain information
If the user chooses to enter their name in the program settings, this information is stored on our system but is never used. This is why it is optional. The user can also choose to enter their phone number. This is only used if the user chooses to use the share by phone number functionality.
By using our App, you agree that we can use the email address tied to your Google Account for writing data locally and into PaM database.

Phone specific information
To enable the app to app sharing capability of PaMGIS application, specific information that identifies the user's phone is required. Given that we are using Firebase for the app to app sharing, Firebase generates a token that is specific only to the user's phone. This information is stored on PaM system and is/will never be shared with third party companies.
By using our App, you agree that we can us Google Firebase to generate a Firebase token that is unique to your device and that you grant PaM the right to save this information on our system and use it solely for the purpose of app to app sharing.

Phone contacts
Phone contacts are only used during app to app sharing. This is a user triggered event where the user uses his/her phone contacts to share a created object with. These contacts are neither stored nor transmitted.
